So as I was settling myself into my seat for my 2 hour plane ride to Detroit, when the pilot (who was probably a younger gentlemen) comes over the load speaker and announces, “Folks, we are just awaiting a part – no big deal – just a part we are missing…soooo we will be leaving a bit late but I am sure we will make it up in air and arrive on time”.  Although slightly disconcerting since we were still at the gate, no one said anything.
